Trade Routes was a community project based at the Manor Maker workshops. Conceptualized by artist Christopher Jarratt, Trade Routes acted to revisit an old industry link between the orchards of Sheffield Castle and the city centre.

Over a 3 month span, 7 young people worked with Christopher Jarratt and designer Paul Reardon  to build their very own water-going vessel. We provided the carpentry know how, helping young people get first hand experience of designing and making.

On Saturday 10th December 2016, goods produced on the manor (honey and wild-flower seeds) were paddled along the canal and ‘portaged’ by the team to their temporary home at Site Gallery,

The exhibition was held from 10.12.2016 to 14.01.2017 at:
Site Gallery, 1 Brown Street, Sheffield, S1 2BS
